Chat GPT for cell language!

A team of researchers at Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons have developed an AI model to predict which genes are active within specific cells, paving the way for making predictions about how cells will react to changes such as cancer-causing mutations. The team trained their model on gene expression data from millions of human tissue cells, mimicking a ChatGPT like model that uses training data to understand grammar of language and using those rules in new situations.
